At present, a practical, but very rough classification of electron-cloud codes has three categories: electron-cloud formation from the action of a prescribed beam; beam instabilities from the action of a prescribed electron cloud; and self-consistent beam-electron-cloud. I will attempt to present a brief summary of features of these three classes.
